1995-99 Mitsubishi Eclipse RS vs GS​ Note: This analysis focuses on the 2nd generation   USDM  RS and GS  COUPE HATCHBACK   models only (NOT GS SPYDER CONVERTIBLE) . The Mitsubishi Eclipse RS and GS were the non-turbo trim levels of the 2nd generation Mitsubishi Eclipse, produced from 1995-1999.  The RS served as the base model trim for most of this period, and although they share similarities, there were numerous differences between the RS and GS models. Center Console and Related Components This guide is for the  North American  1995-99 model year Mitsubishi  Eclipse and 1995-98 Eagle Talon. The center console fits between the front seats. Its components and part numbers are listed below, followed by some videos on how to replace the insert tray and arm rest lid. Note: This guide is only for the Center Console, side panels and shift boots/indicators are not included at this time. 1997-99 Eclipse Fog Lights This guide covers the fog lights and related parts used on the  North American 1997-99 Mitsubishi Eclipse ONLY.  It does  NOT  cover 1995-96 (2GA), or any export versions of the Eclipse.
