This guide is for the North American 1997-99 model year Mitsubishi Eclipse ONLY.
What is a 2GB Front Bumper?
For the 1997 model year, the Mitsubishi Eclipse received the "2GB" (2nd Generation, version "B") styling which saw a number of changes to the exterior, including an all-new front bumper cover complete with a new emblem, headlights, and fog lights.

The same bumper cover was used across all trim levels including RS, GS, GS-T, GSX, and Spyders. The only differences were that the RS featured replaceable fog light covers, while all other trim levels received replaceable bezels for use with fog lights (see "E" in the image below), and the turbo models (GS-T, GSX) did not come equipped with the right (passenger side) Air Inlet Cover (see "D" in the image below).
