1997-99 Eclipse  Non-Turbo  Air Guide This guide is for the  North American  1997-99 (2GB) Mitsubishi  Eclipse  Non-Turbo Models Onl y . The air guide is a one-piece plastic duct that sits behind the front bumper  on  non-turbo Eclipses (RS and GS). It helps direct air to help cool the A/C condenser and radiator.  Although similar to the one used on the GS, the version used on the RS did not have cutouts for the fog light brackets , as the RS did not use fog lights . For the 1997 model year, the Mitsubishi Eclipse received the "2GB" (2nd Generation, version "B") styling which saw a number of changes to the exterior, including an all-new front bumper cover complete with a new  emblem ,  headlights,  and fog lights .
